Here is a small collection of student work focused on the basic building blocks and the relationship between the skeleton and the exterior forms. The animated GIF above was made by rotating a planar skull 360 degrees from imagination, using the proportions we were studying in class. If you want to test your own understanding of these forms, try animating them frame by frame through a full rotation — you’ll find out very quickly where your mental 3D model of the figure needs more information. Enjoy.
